Community Kitchen: To-Go Hot Meals

When: Every Tuesday. 5:30-7:30pm
Where: All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 4550 N. Hermitage Ave. Chicago, IL
The RCS Community Kitchen prepares a hot-to go meal that is available for pickup along with groceries every Tuesday between 5:30-7:30pm from our entrance at 4550 N Hermitage. Four cooking teams currently rotate monthly to plan and prepare our Community Kitchen meals. The RCS Dining Hall (entrance at 1757 W. Wilson Ave.) is open between 6-7pm for neighbors who are looking for a place to sit and eat, and meals should be picked up along with groceries first before heading to the dining hall.
Food Pantry
When: Every Tuesday, between 5:30 and 7:30pm.
Where: All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 4550 N. Hermitage Ave. Chicago, IL
The RCS Food Pantry hosts an average of 250 pantry visits, and our wonderful corps of volunteers includes All Saints’ parishioners, neighbors, community members who want to reach out and be connected to the neighborhood in which they live, and community groups.
RCS offers neighbors a choice of grocery items each week. We strive for nutritional balance in the food we provide, and offer a quart of milk and a fresh loaf of bread each week. We also assemble bags of already prepared foods for those who are without access to kitchen facilities.

Weekend Pantry

When: Once a month on the second Saturday. Open while supplies last starting at 9:00am.
Where: In front of Ravenswood Elementary School at the corner of Montrose and Paulina in Chicago.
The weekend Mobile Pantry offers a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and non-perishable food items in a farmer’s market-style atmosphere at no charge to families in need of food assistance. Participants need not have a student enrolled at Ravenswood School.
This program is made possible through two partnerships: one with Ravenswood School who provides the space and one with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, who provides the produce-heavy truckload of food that is distributed each month.
After School Pantries
When: First and Second Thursday of the month, school dismissal time
Where: Goudy, McCutcheon, and Brenneman Elementary
On the first and second Thursdays of each month, RCS distributes a variety of grocery items from the dismissal doors. Goudy and McCutcheon Elementary are on the first Thursday. Brenneman Elementary is on the second Thursday. Participants need not have a student enrolled at a CPS school.
